Bray’s Media Containment Unit (MCU) delivers unmatched sealing performance for demanding industrial ball valve applications including high-cycle, cryogenic, high-temperature, and steam services, providing enhanced safety, environmental protection, operational reliability, and compliance with environmental standards. Bray’s MCU is designed to prevent accidental and undesirable emissions, leaks, or discharges. If the primary seal fails, the MCU’s secondary seal prevents leakage, while the MCU’s side port can be used for fugitive emission monitoring, leak detection, fugitive emission diversion, use as a positive pressure seal, and as an emergency repair mechanism allowing sealant injection through a flat-head check valve. Bray’s MCU is constructed from investment cast stainless steel for corrosion resistance in harsh environments. Bray’s MCU is available in sizes 1/4” to 10” (6.35mm to 254mm) and can be factory pre-installed on Triad series, 7000/8000 series, S7500/S7700 series, F15/F30 series, RF15/RF30 series, and S85 series. The MCU can also be retrofitted through simple field installation. With Bray’s MCU, industrial plants can significantly reduce operating costs, decrease unscheduled maintenance events such as leak detection and repair (LDAR), thereby reducing production downtime and improving productivity.
