Gestra QuickEM is a flanged industrial steam trap module available in carbon steel and stainless steel versions, widely used for condensate discharge from waste heat recovery units. The module covers nominal sizes from DN 15 to DN 50 and pressure ratings up to PN 40. It can be flexibly configured with BK, MK or UNA series steam traps and bypass piping. The QuickEM Control version is equipped with an NRG 16 measuring electrode, which can be installed directly or via a test chamber to enable electronic monitoring of condensate accumulation and steam leakage.

Confirm compatibility between installation orientation and steam trap configuration

When installing QuickEM, confirm the permitted installation orientation according to the actual configuration. Standard QuickEM can be installed horizontally or vertically, whereas QuickEM Control equipped with a UNA... steam trap is limited to horizontal installation.

Verify the flanged connection and mating components

QuickEM uses an EN 1092-1 B1 flanged connection. During on-site installation, confirm that the mating flanges, flange gasket and bolts meet the connection requirements. These mating components are not included in the product supply.

Install the measuring electrode according to the steam trap model

When QuickEM Control is equipped with a BK 45, MK 45 or UNA 4... steam trap, the NRG 16... measuring electrode is installed directly in the steam trap. When equipped with a BK 15, MK 25 or UNA 1... steam trap, the measuring electrode is installed in the VKE test chamber. During installation, confirm that the electrode installation method matches the steam trap model.
