Condensate Discharge from High-Temperature and High-Pressure Steam Equipment

For condensate discharge from high-temperature and high-pressure steam equipment. The product has a maximum allowable differential pressure of 22 bar and corresponding pressure-temperature ratings.

Condensate Discharge from Steam Heat-Exchange Equipment

For condensate discharge from steam heat-exchange equipment. Available in DN40 and DN50 sizes, with a steel body and integrated strainer and check function.

Installation & maintenance notes

Pressure, Temperature, and Differential-Pressure Limits

During commissioning and operation, confirm that the medium pressure and temperature comply with the applicable connection standard and pressure-temperature rating. Ensure that the maximum allowable differential pressure across the valve does not exceed 22 bar to prevent operating conditions beyond the application limits from affecting sealing and condensate discharge performance.

Strainer and Seal Maintenance

During maintenance, inspect and clean the integrated strainer, and check the condition of the seat seal and related seals. Replace damaged or failed seals when necessary to maintain filtration and sealing performance.

FAQ

How does the BK15 bimetallic steam trap work?

The BK15 operates on a thermostatic principle: its Thermovit regulator balances the temperature difference between steam and condensate, while the integrated strainer and non-return function discharge the condensate with minimal steam loss.

Which connection types and body materials are available for the BK15?

The BK15 is available with DIN/ANSI flanges, threaded connections, NPT threads, socket-weld ends, and butt-weld ends. The body material is steel (1.0460).

What material is used for the seat seal of the BK15?

The seat seal is made of graphite/CrNi, which meets the demands of corrosion-resistant and high-temperature service.

What are the main specifications of the BK15?

The range comprises the BK15-40 (DN40, PN40, approx. 15 kg) and the BK15-50 (DN50, PN40, approx. 15 kg); both can be fitted with the appropriate connections under EN 1092-1/ASME B16.5.

What additional functions or installation advantages does the valve offer?

The BK15 provides an integrated strainer, a non-return function, an externally adjustable Thermovit regulator, and an asbestos-free body gasket. It can be installed in any orientation, which simplifies on-site layout and maintenance.
