FAQ

What is the operating principle of MK35-2S?

MK35-2S is a bimetallic steam trap that uses a thermostatic element driven by the temperature and pressure generated when condensate enters the valve body to discharge condensate while preventing steam loss. An integral strainer ensures that the medium entering the valve body is clean and provides resistance to water hammer.

What is the main difference between MK35-2S and MK35-2S3?

Both are thermostatic steam traps. The difference is that MK35-2S is equipped with two thermostatic elements, whereas MK35-2S3 is equipped with three. Under the same conditions, MK35-2S3 provides a slightly higher maximum flow rate and condensate discharge capacity, making it suitable for applications with higher back pressure and differential pressure.

What connection options are available for this valve?

The valve is available with various connection options, including DIN/ANSI flanges, threaded connections, NPT threaded connections, and socket-weld ends, allowing flexible configuration for different piping systems and installation conditions.

What are the material and sealing characteristics of MK35-2S?

The valve body is made of steel (1.0460). The seat seal uses graphite/CrNi, and the bonnet seal also uses graphite/CrNi. Most internal components are made of stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance and suitability for operation at relatively high temperatures.
