Application scenarios

Liquid Removal from Clean Steam Supply Lines to Sterilization Equipment

Installed in the clean or pure steam supply line leading to sterilization equipment, it separates entrained liquid droplets from the steam, improves steam dryness, and reduces the impact of wet steam on sterilization performance.

Liquid Removal from Clean Steam Distribution Headers and Branch Lines

Installed in the main or branch lines of clean or pure steam distribution systems, it removes entrained liquid droplets from the steam and reduces the amount of wet steam entering downstream points of use or equipment.

Liquid Removal Upstream of Clean Steam Control Valves and Instruments

Installed upstream of control valves and measuring instruments in clean or pure steam systems, it separates entrained liquid droplets and reduces the risk of damage to control valves and instruments caused by wet steam.

Installation & maintenance notes

Verify Operating Pressure and Temperature Conditions

Before installation or commissioning, confirm that the system pressure and temperature are within the specified range for the CS10-1. The maximum allowable pressure is 10 bar g @ 50°C, the maximum allowable temperature is 250°C, and the maximum operating pressure must not exceed 7.6 bar g.

FAQ

What is the primary function of the CS10-1 clean steam separator?

The CS10-1 removes liquid droplets from clean and pure steam systems, improves steam dryness, and reduces the impact of wet steam on sterilization performance, control valves, instruments, and system efficiency.

What conditions should be considered when selecting a CS10-1?

Selection should take account of connection size, steam pressure, flow rate, velocity, pressure drop, and piping configuration. The maximum pressure and temperature of sanitary clamp connections are also limited by the gaskets and clamps used. The specific configuration must be confirmed according to the actual model and application conditions.

What piping connection sizes are available for the CS10-1?

The steam inlet and outlet are available with 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/2", and 2" sanitary clamp connections complying with ASME BPE or DIN 32676. Extended weld tubes complying with ASME BPE or DIN 11850 are also available. The drain connection is a 1" ASME BPE sanitary clamp, and the vent connection is a 1/2" ASME BPE sanitary clamp.

What are the pressure and temperature limits of the CS10-1?

The body design rating is PN10. The maximum allowable pressure is 10 bar g at 50°C, the maximum operating pressure is 7.6 bar g, the maximum allowable temperature is 250°C, the maximum operating temperature is 250°C at 6.8 bar g, and the minimum operating temperature is 0°C.

What should be considered when installing the CS10-1?

The separator should be installed in a horizontal pipeline, with the arrow pointing in the direction of media flow. During installation and maintenance, protect the body and internal surfaces carefully to prevent surface damage.
