Application scenarios
Saturated Steam Pipeline Isolation
Used as an isolation valve for on-off shutoff on saturated steam mains, branch lines, or upstream of equipment. The maximum saturated steam working pressure is 39 bar g.
Automated Remote Steam Isolation
Used at steam pipeline isolation points requiring remote operation or automatic shutoff. The standard ISO mounting interface accommodates automated actuators without dismantling the valve body, maintaining seal integrity during installation.
Selection points
High-Temperature Saturated Steam Operating Limits
The maximum saturated steam working pressure is 39 bar g, the maximum continuous working temperature is 250°C @ 39 bar g, and the maximum short-term working temperature is 310°C @ 0 bar g. Verify the actual pressure and continuous operating temperature when selecting the valve.
Hardened Stainless Steel Ball and Reinforced PEEK Seats
The valve uses a hardened AISI 316 stainless steel ball and reinforced PEEK seats. This sealing-pair material configuration can be used as a selection criterion for high-temperature steam isolation valves.
Full-Bore and Reduced-Bore Options
The same series is available in FB full-bore and RB reduced-bore configurations. Specify the bore type when ordering.
Standard ISO Actuator Mounting Interface
Equipped with a standard ISO actuator mounting interface. Automated actuators can be installed without dismantling the valve body or compromising body seal integrity, supporting both manual and remote-control configurations.
Three-Piece Body Construction
The M10Hi ISO features a three-piece body construction.
Installation & maintenance notes
Remove Sealing Components Before Welding
Before welding SW socket-weld or BW butt-weld models, separate the end caps from the center body and remove the seats and associated seals. This prevents welding heat from damaging the sealing components and causing leakage.
Avoid Inverted Installation in Liquid Service
For liquid service, do not install the valve upside down with the stem pointing downward. Preferably install it with the stem vertical and pointing upward to prevent contaminants from accumulating around the stem seal and affecting sealing performance and operation.
Provide Drainage and Open Slowly in Steam Service
In steam systems, install a condensate collection pocket with a steam trap upstream of the valve, and open the valve slowly during commissioning to reduce water hammer and system shock caused by condensate.
FAQ
How does the M10Hi ISO three-piece ball valve operate?
This is an isolation valve that opens and closes the flow passage by rotating the ball. It can be maintained without removing the valve body from the pipeline and is suitable for rapid isolation of steam and other industrial fluids.
How should the model be selected for full-bore or reduced-bore requirements?
When ordering, specify full bore or reduced bore according to the FB/RB designation, together with the nominal size and end connection type, such as threaded or flanged, to match the system connections. Confirm the specific configuration according to the actual model and application conditions.
Does ISO mounting require the valve body to be dismantled during installation?
No. The ISO mounting design allows complete installation without dismantling the valve body, facilitating automation while maintaining seal integrity.
What operating conditions are covered by the valve's temperature and pressure limits?
The body design rating and pressure rating support operating conditions ranging from low to high temperatures and from low to relatively high pressures. Refer to the PMA, TMA, TMO, and other parameters and the corresponding curves in the technical datasheet for the specific limits.
Are certificates and the required certification information available?
An EN10204 3.1 certificate is available for this product. Specify this requirement when ordering.
