Ball Valve Accessory Resolute Ball™

The Resolute Ball™ features a specialized ball geometry. In conventional ball valves, the ball and seat maintain continuous contact throughout the full 90° opening/closing process, causing scale on the ball surface to pass through the seat sealing area, increasing torque and scoring sealing surfaces. The Resolute Ball™ minimizes ball-to-seat contact after 10° of rotation, allowing accumulated media particles to pass more easily between the ball and seat, reducing wear, operating torque, and sticking risk.

This design is suitable for applications where media tends to accumulate scale or particles on the ball surface during static periods, including mining and mineral processing, pulp and paper, black liquor, green liquor, white liquor, petrochemical, refining, PVC chloride, and polymer/monomer applications. The Resolute Ball™ offers targeted value for infrequently operated valves that experience high torque or sticking during opening and closing.

Scale on a conventional ball passes through the seat sealing area during operation, potentially causing seat leakage, stem shear, and operational sticking. The Resolute Ball™ reduces ball-to-seat contact during rotation, allowing accumulated media particles to pass between the ball and seat, reducing wear by up to 70%. Benefits include lower valve operating torque, more reliable operation, longer service life, and lower total cost of ownership.

The Resolute Ball™ serves as a direct engineered replacement for Bray one-piece flanged ball valve RF15/RF30 series and two-piece flanged ball valve F15/F30 series. F15/F30 series is available in sizes 1/2" to 12" (DN 15 to DN 300); RF15/RF30 series is available in sizes 1" to 12" (DN 25 to DN 300).
