A Blowout-Proof Stem

A retaining ring installed between the machined stem groove and the gland step retains the stem completely in the unlikely event of an internal stem failure.

B Adjustable Packing System

Supports field adjustment of stem packing without removing the handwheel or electric actuator. Advanced self-adjusting V-type stem packing prevents external substances from entering the upper stem bore.

C Primary and Secondary Seals

These stem packings prevent pipe media from contacting the stem or body. The primary seal is achieved through interference fit with the molded seat flats on the disc hub. The secondary seal is achieved through a larger stem diameter than the seat stem hole diameter.

D Stem Bearings

Utilize upper and lower thick-wall sleeve bearings to absorb actuator side thrust, minimizing bearing friction torque.

E Thrust Bearing

Copper vertical thrust bearing eliminates disc displacement caused by stem and disc weight.

F Body

Full-flanged one-piece design. All bodies are drilled to ASME 125/150, PN10, PN16, or other international flange standards. Wafer body also available.

G Disc

High-strength disc is cast, then the sealing lip is spherically machined, followed by hand polishing or Nylon 11 coating of the entire disc. Symmetrical disc geometry enhances universal flow coefficient values, reduces turbulence, and enhances pressure recovery.

H Seat

Replaceable tongue and groove bonded seat with body retention method is the most advanced design in the industry. Features a molded O-ring, eliminating the need for flange gaskets. The seat isolates the valve body and stem from the pipe media, designed specifically to seal against slip-on or weld-neck flanges.
