Proximity Sensor 54 Series

The 54 Series uses non-contact inductive sensing with two independent sensors to detect the fully open and fully closed valve positions and output corresponding position signals. Non-contact detection avoids mechanical wear and reduces potential issues such as switch welding, arcing, and sparking.

The 54 Series can be directly mounted on quarter-turn valve actuators compliant with NAMUR/VDI VDE 3845 standards. The compact design helps reduce overall installation volume. Specific mounting compatibility should be confirmed based on the actual actuator model.

Selection should be based on the existing control system signal interface and network architecture. The PNP and AC/DC versions provide two normally open outputs; the AS-i version provides two programmable signals and supports the AS-i communication protocol, suitable for digital network solutions on valve actuator interfaces.

The 54 Series is a maintenance-free non-contact sensor. In daily use, LED indication can be used to check sensor power, switch, and solenoid coil status. Mounting, wiring, and seal condition should be periodically verified for suitability with site application conditions. The operating temperature range is -25 to 70°C.
