The Bray 85 Series threaded ball valve is designed to simplify automation through our modular actuator range. The 85 Series threaded full-port ball valve features an integrally cast ISO 5211 mounting pad and NPT threaded ends, making it an outstanding solution for automated valve applications requiring zero leakage, as well as a leading two-piece ball valve with threaded NPT port connections. The 85 Series ball valve carries various certifications for sour gas applications in oil and gas per NACE MR0175, potable water per NSF-61/372 while also meeting EPA Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) requirements, ATEX for explosive atmospheres in hazardous locations, PED/PE(S)R pressure equipment directives for Europe and the UK, CRN certification for Canada, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) ratings for safety systems. Key features of the 85 Series ball valve include bottom entry, a blowout-proof stem that prevents stem ejection under line pressure, and live-loaded self-adjusting stem packing that automatically compensates for wear and temperature fluctuations, ensuring tight sealing, reduced maintenance, and long-term consistent performance. The S85 also incorporates an anti-static device to prevent static buildup that could be hazardous in dangerous or explosive industrial environments. Other features of the S85 Series threaded ball valve include replaceable seats and stem packing for easy maintenance and extended service life.
