Switch Box Series 5B Resin

The Series 5B uses mechanical or proximity limit switches to detect valve stem motion and convert open, closed, and intermediate set positions into electrical output signals. The product can be configured with up to 6 switches, with spline cams for accurate, tool-free switch trigger position setting.

This series uses glass fiber reinforced PBT valve body material, with a resin base and cover providing corrosion, wear, impact, and UV resistance. Protection rating reaches IP66/67/68 and NEMA 4/4x, with an O-ring seal between cover and base and a stem secondary seal to help reduce water ingress risk under harsh field conditions. Specific configuration should be confirmed based on actual model and application conditions.

Switches can be selected from mechanical SPDT, DPDT, as well as proximity PNP, NPN, 140V 2-wire, 250V 2-wire, reed, and NAMUR intrinsically safe types. Communication protocols include AS-I, Profibus DP, and DeviceNet. Selection should be confirmed based on control system interface, signal type, and site hazardous area requirements.

Yes. The Series 5B is compatible with VDI/VDE 3845 mounting standards (NAMUR interface) and can be installed with corresponding valve actuators. Actuator mounting dimensions, shaft configuration, and required switch set points should be verified before installation.

This series uses a high-visibility, impact-resistant dome position indicator. To reverse the open/close visual output, rotate the indicator 90 degrees without removing the cover or exposing internal wiring. Switch trigger points can be set using the spline cam for accurate, tool-free adjustment.
