Product Overview
Double block and bleed safety for high-pressure systems
Emergency Stem Sealant Injection
Emergency stem sealant injection: This standard feature allows the valve stem housing to be adjusted in an emergency by injecting sealant through a grease fitting, providing protection against unexpected conditions during operation.
Emergency seat sealant injection: This optional feature allows sealant injection through grease fittings at the valve’s end connections, providing reliable sealing against seat leakage caused by contaminants or unexpected operating conditions.
Drain and vent ports: The drain port is located at the bottom of the valve body to release any liquid trapped in the body cavity of a closed valve. The vent port is located at the top of the body cavity to eliminate any gas trapped in the body cavity of a fully closed valve. Both play important safety roles in double block and bleed and/or double isolation and bleed valve configurations.
Double block and bleed: This safety feature eliminates pressure buildup caused by high-pressure media trapped in the valve body cavity, even when the valve is in the fully closed position.
Fire-safe design: A secondary metal seat design provides fire-safe shutoff per API 607. Additionally, secondary graphite stem packing and flexible graphite gaskets prevent leakage through body joints and the stuffing box, respectively.
Internal fixing design: Upper and lower bearing plates secure the ball in position, preventing axial ball float and avoiding seat overload. Some sizes also offer external fixing design.
Pressure-activated stem packing: Our patented energizer ring sits above the primary O-ring stem packing. In the rare event of O-ring damage, it uses media pressure to create upward force on the packing. Combined with the downward compression force from the tightened stuffing box cover, this creates greater net compression on the packing, providing better sealing than conventional packing designs.
Dual seal at body joint: A primary resilient stem packing ensures zero leakage under normal operating conditions. A secondary graphite stem packing provides API 607-compliant stem sealing at the body joint under extreme temperature conditions.
Anti-static device: Standard anti-static devices ensure electrical continuity between the ball, stem, and body, preventing electrostatic charge from sparking inside the valve.
Valve position indication: Clear stamping on the mounting flange outer diameter identifies the valve’s open or closed position based on stem key orientation.
ISO 5211 mounting pad: A robust ISO 5211 mounting pad enables quick conversion between the valve and automation package.
Blowout-proof stem design: The valve features a stem/body connection design that prevents stem blowout under line pressure.
