Bray Tri Lok®: Reliable Isolation Valve for High-Pressure and High-Temperature Conditions
The Bray Tri Lok® valve is a high-performance butterfly valve designed for extreme service applications. Its cam-like triple-offset geometry eliminates friction between the seat and seal ring, reducing wear and extending service life, while the torque-sealed metal-to-metal seal ensures reliable bidirectional zero-leakage sealing.
Unique Feature: The splined disc/stem connection prevents misalignment, supports axial movement, and maintains seal integrity.
Performance: Operating temperature range from -320°F to 842°F (-196°C to 450°C) with pressure ratings up to ASME Class 150-900.
Applications: Bulk liquid storage, LNG, power generation, refining, chemical processing, cryogenic service, pulp and paper, shipbuilding, geothermal steam, and water and wastewater treatment.
Materials: Available in carbon steel, stainless steel, and high alloys including Inconel®, Hastelloy®, and XM-19.

C Metal-to-Metal Seal
Tri Lok’s friction-free metal-to-metal sealing system is inherently firesafe and fire-tested, while meeting zero-leakage requirements for many critical applications.
D Packing Ring
Offers a flexible design and wide range of materials to provide torque-loaded sealing with zero leakage. (Solid packing ring optional).
E Splined Disc-to-Stem Connection
A robust and reliable connection that allows the stem to move axially independent of the disc, protecting the disc/stem connection from temperature fluctuations and pressure effects. This connection prevents common misalignment issues of rigidly connected discs and stems, minimizes hysteresis, eliminates external connections and associated hardware, and simplifies assembly and disassembly.
F Adjustable Stem Packing
Fully-adjustable, field-replaceable stem packing system certified to international fugitive emission standards.
G Robust Blowout-Proof Stem
One-piece stem features a blowout prevention ring located outside of the pressure boundary, as well as redundant blowout prevention mechanisms fully compliant with API 609 and safety requirements.
H Indexed Stem
Provides visual indication of disc/packing ring position after installation.
I Extended Stem Bearings
Hardened bearings provide maximum stem support.
J Increased Body Wall Thickness
Provides greater corrosion allowance per API 600 standard.
K SIL 3 Capable
Tri Lok valve is SIL 3 capable, and as one of Bray’s many automated components, meets multiple SIL requirements.
