Spirax Sarco BPS32/BPS32Y are austenitic stainless steel 316Ti balanced pressure steam traps designed for saturated steam systems up to 32 bar g. The BPS32 features a flat strainer screen, while the BPS32Y is equipped with an integral Y-type strainer. An integral check valve and threaded, welded, or flanged connections are available as options. Suitable for condensate drainage from hospital sterilization equipment, steam tracing lines containing impurities, and small jacketed steam equipment.

Models

All BPS32 series models are 316Ti stainless steel pressure-balanced steam traps, available with threaded, socket weld, butt weld, or flanged connections in sizes from 1/2 inch to 1 inch and DN15 to DN25. BPS32 has a flat strainer and no integral check valve, making it suitable for systems with low contamination and no significant backflow risk. BPS32Y uses a cylindrical Y-type strainer and is suitable for applications with higher contamination levels. BPS32CV adds an integral check valve to the flat-strainer design and is suitable for systems with backflow or back-pressure risks and limited installation space. BPS32YCV combines a Y-type strainer with an integral check valve, making it suitable for complex applications involving both high contamination and backflow risks. BPS32Y features an austenitic stainless steel 316Ti body, an integral cylindrical Y-type stainless steel strainer, and a standard STD capsule, without an integral check valve. The Y-type strainer provides greater debris-holding capacity and is suitable for steam tracing, heat transfer equipment, and related condensate drainage applications that may contain rust, welding slag, and other contaminants.
